Replicas, the novel based on the GAILEarth.com exoplanets, is now available in paperback from Amazon.com. It was originally published in electronic format for the Kindle Reader on September 29.
Written by Amanda Ure, a fan of the Handbook for Space Pioneers on which the GAILEarth website is based, the novel chronicles the life of Melissa Shipton, a woman born on 24th-century Earth who leaves home to settle on the exoplanet Athena. The book explores provocative subjects such as artificial intelligence, the rights of androids, and genetic engineering.
The paperback sells for $9.99 and its equivalent, in North America, Europe, the United Kingdom, and Japan. The Kindle edition is still 99 cents and is available worldwide.
